The Niccoline Chapel (Cappella Niccolina) is a chapel in the Apostolic Palace in Vatican City, built for Pope Nicholas V as his private chapel and named after him. It lies within the Tower of Innocent III, the most ancient part of the palace, and is decorated with frescoes by Fra Angelico and his assistants, painted from 1447 to 1451. The upper level shows episodes from the life of St. Stephen, the lower level scenes from the life of St. Laurence.
