The Odeon of Agrippa, built around 15 BC in the heart of ancient Athens's Agora, was a monumental Roman structure commissioned by Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa, the renowned Roman statesman and general, as a gift to the Athenian people. Constructed in Roman architectural style, the odeon occupied previously open ground at the Agora's center, transforming the public space into a venue for musical and theatrical performances. Today it survives as an archaeological site, testifying to Rome's cultural influence and beneficence in the Greek capital during the late Hellenistic period.
