Ognissanti is a Franciscan church on the piazza of the same name in central Florence, Italy. Founded by the lay order of the Umiliati and dedicated to all saints and martyrs, known and unknown, it was begun in 1251 and has Baroque architecture attributed to Matteo Nigetti. It is the burial place of the Early Renaissance painter Sandro Botticelli and of the explorer Amerigo Vespucci, from whom the name "America" derives.
