The Oklahoma State Capitol stands along Lincoln Boulevard in Oklahoma City, housing the state legislature and executive branch offices. Designed by Solomon Andrew Layton in Renaissance Revival and Neoclassical styles, it was built between 1914 and 1917. Its grounds are notable as the only state capitol complex in the United States with active oil rigs.
