The Old Cathedral of Coimbra (Sé Velha) is a Romanesque Roman Catholic cathedral in Coimbra, Portugal, and a National Monument of Portugal. Construction began in 1146, some years after Prince Afonso Henriques declared himself King of Portugal following the Battle of Ourique and chose Coimbra as his capital. The first Count of Coimbra, the Mozarab Sisnando Davides, is buried within it.
