The Old State Capitol State Historic Site is a museum in Springfield, Illinois, housed in a former state capitol built in the Greek Revival style between 1837 and 1840. It served as the state house until 1876, when the current capitol replaced it, and it is one of two preserved former Illinois capitols. Designated a National Historic Landmark in 1961, it is chiefly associated with Abraham Lincoln and his rival Stephen Douglas.
