Orsanmichele is a communal building and church in Florence, Italy, begun in 1337 in the Gothic style. It served as a grain market, granary and oratory. Its façades carry a sculptural program of the patron saints of the major Florentine guilds, and it houses the tabernacle by Orcagna, regarded as a high point of Italian Gothic sculpture.
