The Royal Villa, also called the Palace of Monza, is a Neoclassical palace on the banks of the Lambro river in Monza, northern Italy, within the large Monza Park. Built by the Habsburgs as a private residence during Austrian rule in the 18th century, it later served as the viceroy's residence under the Napoleonic Kingdom of Italy. The royal family abandoned it after King Umberto I was murdered in Monza in 1900, and it now hosts exhibitions.
