The Palace of Peace and Reconciliation is a postmodern pyramid in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, designed by Foster and Partners and completed in 2006. Standing 62 metres high and built of float glass and granite, it serves as a non-denominational national spiritual centre and event venue. Its apex is crowned by a modern stained glass design by the architectural artist Brian Clarke, and it was built to house the triennial Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions.
