The Palacio de las Cortes, also called the Palace of the Congress of Deputies, stands on Plaza de las Cortes in Madrid, Spain. It houses the Congress of Deputies, one of the two chambers of the Cortes Generales, Spain's parliament. Begun in 1843 to designs by Narciso Pascual Colomer, it is a neoclassical building with Herrerian influences and one of the emblematic buildings of 19th-century Madrid.
