The Palácio da Presidência da República is a public building in central Praia, the capital of Cape Verde, on Rua Serpa Pinto at the south end of Plateau, the city's historic district. Constructed around 1894 in neoclassical style as a residence for the Portuguese governor of Cape Verde, it became the presidential palace after the country gained independence in 1975.
