The Palau de la Generalitat is a historic palace in Barcelona's Ciutat Vella district that houses the offices of the Presidency of the Generalitat de Catalunya. The original building was purchased in 1400 by then-president Alfons de Tous, and Pere Blai designed its principal Renaissance façade on the Plaça de Sant Jaume in 1596, the first grand façade of that style in Catalonia.
