The Palazzo della Pilotta is a complex of buildings in the historic centre of Parma, Emilia-Romagna, Italy, lying between Piazzale della Pace and the Lungoparma. Its name derives from the game of pelota once played by Spanish soldiers stationed in the city. Begun in 1550 to designs by Francesco Paciotto in the Renaissance style, it is now an Italian national museum and heritage site.
