Pearl Palace, an estate in Karaj City's Mehrshahr neighborhood in Alborz Province, Iran, was designed by Taliesin Associated Architects under the direction of William Wesley Peters for Princess Shams Pahlavi, sister of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. Built in the early 1970s, the palace exemplifies the Pahlavi modernist architectural moment, blending contemporary design principles with traditional Persian sensibilities through its use of plaster, stone, and concrete. Also known as Shams Palace, it stands as an Iranian National Heritage property and represents a significant collaboration between the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation and Iranian royal patronage during the pre-revolutionary era.
