Peñafiel Castle stands in Peñafiel, Valladolid Province, Castile and León, Spain, and is built of stone. The enclosure is more than 200 metres long, with a three-storey keep rising 34 metres at its centre. Fernán González began the site in 947 as a frontier outpost against the Arabs, and several Spanish nobles later extended it. The castle now houses a wine museum.
