Petrelë Castle (Kalaja e Petrelës) stands on a rocky hill above the village of Petrelë in central Albania, near Tirana. Built by the Byzantine emperor Justinian I in the 6th century, its present structure dates from the 15th century. It formed part of the signalling network with Krujë Castle, and during Skanderbeg's campaigns against the Ottomans it was commanded by his sister, Mamica Kastrioti.
