The Piazza dei Miracoli, formally Piazza del Duomo, is a walled compound of about 8.87 hectares in central Pisa, Tuscany, Italy. It is dominated by Pisa Cathedral, the Baptistery, the Leaning Tower (the cathedral's bell tower) and the Camposanto Monumentale, and was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. Its popular name was coined by Gabriele D'Annunzio in his 1910 novel *Forse che sì forse che no*.
