The Place des Victoires is a circular square in central Paris, lying a short distance northeast of the Palais-Royal and straddling the border between the 1st and 2nd arrondissements. Begun in 1685, it is a Baroque-style classified historical monument at the meeting point of six streets, including the Rue d'Aboukir and the Rue Étienne-Marcel.
