Pol-e Dokhtar, also known as Kiz Bridge, is a historical arch bridge near Mianeh in East Azerbaijan, Iran, recognized as part of the Iranian National Heritage. Built of brick and mortar in a structure of three arches—the central arch notably narrower than its flanking counterparts—the bridge's origins remain uncertain, with scholars variously dating it to the Sassanid era or the 8th century AD. Its architectural style reflects influences spanning the Timurid, Safavid, and Qajar periods. The bridge suffered significant damage in December 1946 when communist separatists of the Democratic Party of Azerbaijan partially destroyed it in an unsuccessful attempt to obstruct the advancing Imperial Iranian Army.
