Ponizovsky House is a landmark in the Presnensky District of Moscow, designed by Lev Kekushev in 1904 in the Art Nouveau style. Built on a lot split from the Volchkov estate for resale, it was set back from Povarskaya Street, with its main entrance facing the corner of Povarskaya Street and Skatertny Lane. In 1914 it was rebuilt to a neoclassical design, losing its dome and original exterior finishes, and it now houses the Embassy of Afghanistan.
