Radio City Cinema, constructed in Tehran's District 6 in 1958, was a cinema designed by architect Heydar Ghiai that exemplified the exuberant fusion of Pahlavi-era modernism and Googie style. Built from marble, glass, and steel, the theater embodied the optimistic architectural vocabulary of 1950s Iran, combining sleek modernist materials with the dramatic, futuristic aesthetic of Googie design. The building stood as a testament to Tehran's mid-century cultural ambitions before its demolition in 1978.
