Reccopolis is an archaeological site near Zorita de los Canes in Guadalajara province, Spain, and one of the Visigothic cities founded in Iberia after the fall of Roman rule. The Visigothic king Liuvigild established it, and it is one of only two cities in Western Europe known to have been founded between the fifth and eighth centuries. Excavations began in the 1940s under Juan Cabré, and the site is protected as a bien de interés cultural.
