La Recoleta Cemetery is a cemetery in the Recoleta neighbourhood of Buenos Aires, Argentina, dating from 1822 and designed by Próspero Catelin in the Art Nouveau style. It holds the graves of Eva Perón, Argentine presidents, Nobel Prize winners, and military commanders such as Julio Argentino Roca. The BBC hailed it in 2011 as one of the world's best cemeteries.
