Located in Redden State Forest in Sussex County, Delaware, the Redden Forest Education Center is a complex of three Shingle style buildings constructed between 1900 and 1902 as a hunting retreat for Pennsylvania Railroad heir Frank Graham Thompson. Originally served by a dedicated railroad siding at Redden Crossroads, the compound fell into disuse during the Great Depression before being acquired by the state of Delaware in the 1930s. It subsequently housed operations of the Civilian Conservation Corps, and the surrounding property was formally designated Redden State Forest in 1937. The complex is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
