Rhuddlan Castle is a castle and archaeological site in Rhuddlan, Denbighshire, Wales. Edward I chose the site in 1277, and master mason James of Saint George oversaw much of the work, which was not completed until 1282. Built alongside Flint Castle as Edward consolidated his conquest of Wales, it was temporarily his residence, and it is now owned by Cadw, a division of the Welsh Government.
