The St. Vitus Cathedral is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Rijeka, Croatia. The church as it stands today was founded in 1638 by the Jesuits, who first used it as their own church. It became the cathedral of Rijeka in 1969, when the town became the centre of an archbishopric. Its rotunda plan is unusual in this part of Europe, combining Baroque and Gothic elements with fine Baroque statuary inside.
