Riverside Church is an interdenominational church in Manhattan's Morningside Heights neighborhood, across from Grant's Tomb and near Columbia University. Designed by Henry C. Pelton and Allen & Collens in the Neo-Gothic style, the original building opened in 1930. Its 22-story tower rises 392 feet and holds a 74-bell carillon, reputedly the heaviest in the world, dedicated to Laura Spelman Rockefeller.
