The Rossiya Hotel was a Soviet Modernist hotel in Moscow, designed by Pavel Shteller and Dmitry Chechulin and completed in 1967. Upon its opening, it became the world's largest hotel, a distinction it held until 1980. The massive structure contained 3,182 rooms and remained Europe's second-largest hotel until its closure in 2006, by which time it had accommodated approximately ten million guests, including over two million foreigners. Notable visitors included Mikhail Gorbachev, George H. W. Bush, and Mike Tyson. The building was demolished in 2006.
