The Rotonda di San Lorenzo is a Romanesque religious building in Mantua, Lombardy, northern Italy, and the oldest church in the city. Built in the late 11th century under the Canossa family, it has a central plan inspired by the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem and is dedicated to the martyr St. Lawrence. Its brick construction includes marble columns from ancient edifices, and it retains a matronaeum and 11th–12th century Byzantine-school frescoes. It now sits below the level of the Piazza delle Erbe, probably on the site of a Roman temple to Venus.
