The Round Tower, also called the Small Mardakan Castle, stands in the Mardakan settlement of Khazar district in Baku, Azerbaijan. An inscription on its donjon records that it was built in 1232 by the architect Abdulmajid ibn Masud for the Shirvanshah Fariburz III. A central tower about 7.6 metres in diameter is ringed by thick walls supported by blind towers, with three stone-domed tiers inside. It belongs to the Shirvan-Absheron architectural school and was included in the UNESCO World Heritage Reserve List in 2001 alongside other Caspian coastal defence structures.
