The Royal Courts of Justice, commonly called the Law Courts, is a Gothic Revival courthouse on the Strand in the City of Westminster, London. Designed by George Edmund Street, who died before its completion, the large grey stone building houses the High Court and Court of Appeal of England and Wales and was opened by Queen Victoria in 1882. It is one of the largest courts in Europe and is a Grade I listed building.
