Demolished or destroyed.
The Royal Sovereign Lighthouse was a light platform off the coast of the United Kingdom, marking the Royal Sovereign shoal, a sandbank about 11 km offshore from Eastbourne. Its lighthouse tower stood on a large platform that doubled as a helicopter deck, carried on a single pillar rising from the water. Built in 1971 and 36 m tall, it was originally staffed by three full-time keepers living in the cabin section beneath the platform. It was demolished in 2024.
