The Rubenshuis is a museum in Antwerp, Belgium, and the former home and workshop of the painter Peter Paul Rubens (1577–1640). Rubens bought the Flemish townhouse in 1610 and had it renovated and extended to his own designs, giving the house and its courtyard garden the look of an Italian palazzo that reflected his artistic ideals. The complex is now a museum devoted mainly to Rubens and his contemporaries.
