The Russian Orthodox Church in Tunis, also known as the Church of the Resurrection, stands on Avenue Mohammed V as a distinctive example of Russian Revival architecture in North Africa. Built by the Russian community in Tunis, the church was designed by Russian architect Michel Kozmin (1901–1999), with its foundation stone laid in October 1953 and the building inaugurated on June 10, 1956. The structure is notable for its characteristic Russian architectural style, which stands in striking contrast to the broader architectural landscape of Tunisia.
