The St. Simeon of the Wonderful Mountain Church in Dresden is a Russian Orthodox church built between 1872 and 1874, designed by Harald Julius von Bosse and Karl Weißbach in the Russian Revival style. Constructed of rock, the church is dedicated to Simeon Stylites the Younger. Remarkably, during the devastating aerial bombing of Dresden in February 1945, it remained relatively intact—the only building to survive substantially undamaged within its surrounding area. The church is recognized as a Kulturdenkmal (cultural monument) in Germany.
