The Rykestrasse Synagogue stands in the Prenzlauer Berg neighbourhood of the Pankow borough of Berlin and serves a Conservative Jewish congregation. Designed by Johann Hoeniger in the Romanesque Revival style, it was completed and inaugurated on 4 September 1904, in time for Rosh Hashanah. Described as Germany's largest synagogue, it stands off the street alignment and is reached through a thoroughfare in the front building.
