Sacred Heart Cathedral in Brazzaville, Republic of the Congo, is a Catholic cathedral and the seat of the Archdiocese of Brazzaville. Built in 1892 to designs credited to Prosper Philippe Augouard and consecrated in 1894, it is the oldest existing cathedral in central Africa. Its east-facing main entrance is decorated with two large polychrome statues of Saints Paul and Peter. Charles de Gaulle and Pope John Paul II both visited it.
