The House of Saint Ananias is an ancient underground Byzantine structure in Damascus, Syria, traditionally believed to mark the home of Ananias of Damascus, the figure who baptized Saul—later known as Paul the Apostle. Located at the end of the Street Called Straight near the Bab Sharqi (Eastern Gate), this modest chapel stands as a significant site in early Christian history, its subterranean setting preserving the memory of a pivotal moment in the Apostle's conversion.
