Saint Fin Barre's Cathedral is a Gothic Revival Church of Ireland cathedral on the south bank of the River Lee in Cork, Ireland, dedicated to Finbarr of Cork, the city's patron saint. William Burges designed most of its architecture, sculpture, stained glass, mosaics and interior furniture in what was his first major commissioned project. Work began in 1863, the foundation stone was laid in 1865, and the cathedral was consecrated in 1870. It is built largely of local stone and capped by three spires.
