The Basilique Sainte-Jeanne-d'Arc stands on the Rue de Torcy and Rue de la Chapelle in the Chapelle quarter of Paris's 18th arrondissement. Its design was the subject of a contentious competition, and the winning scheme, already partly built, was eventually abandoned in favour of a more modest modernist design.
