San Jose Diridon station, located at 65 Cahill Street in San Jose, California, serves as the central passenger rail depot for the city and a major intermodal transit hub for Santa Clara County and Silicon Valley. Designed by architect John H. Christie in Italian Renaissance Revival style, the station sits on Union Pacific Railroad Coast Line tracks and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places for its architectural and historical significance. Named after former Santa Clara County Supervisor Rod Diridon Sr., the station is currently served by Caltrain, ACE, VTA light rail, and Amtrak trains, with bus service provided by Amtrak Thruway, Greyhound, Monterey–Salinas Transit, Santa Cruz METRO, and VTA. A new underground BART station is projected to begin service by 2036 as part of the Silicon Valley BART extension.
