Santa Maria degli Angeli e dei Martiri is a Catholic minor basilica in Rome, set within the ruined frigidarium and tepidarium of the Baths of Diocletian in the Piazza della Repubblica. A former Carthusian conventual church, it was constructed in the 16th century to an original design by Michelangelo Buonarroti, with later architects and artists adding to it over the following centuries. The Baroque building, with Luigi Vanvitelli among its architects, is recognised as Italian national heritage.
