The Church of Santa Maria della Grazie in Varallo Sesia, in Italy's Piedmont region, is a Gothic-style Roman Catholic church and shrine built by Friar Bernardo Caimi between 1486 and 1493 alongside an adjacent Franciscan convent. Its construction coincided with the beginnings of the nearby Sacro Monte pilgrimage site. In 1931, Pope Pius XI elevated the church to the status of Minor Basilica, recognizing its spiritual and architectural significance.
