The Sardar Mosque, a Shi'ite place of worship in Urmia, West Azerbaijan, exemplifies Qajar architectural tradition. Located on Imam Street near the Menareh Mosque, the structure was begun around the 1810s during the Qajar era and completed in 1912 under the Pahlavi period, representing nearly a century of construction. Built from tile, brick, and stone, the mosque reflects the material vocabulary characteristic of its architectural era. Recognized as a cultural property of national significance, it was inscribed on Iran's National Heritage List on July 1, 1996, by the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization of Iran.
