Built in 1983, the Sayran bus terminal in Almaty, Kazakhstan, is a major long-distance bus station designed in Soviet Modernist architecture. Located on the northwestern corner of the Sayran Reservoir, it serves as the city's central hub for intercity transit, positioned opposite Sayran metro station, which sits on the southeastern shore of the lake. Also known as the New Bus Station or Central Bus Station, the facility reflects the functional aesthetic and infrastructural ambitions characteristic of Soviet-era transportation architecture.
