Schloss Elmau is a four-story castle hotel in Krün, nestled between Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Mittenwald at the foot of the Wetterstein mountains in Bavaria's nature reserves. Built between 1914 and 1916 by philosopher and theologian Johannes Müller in collaboration with architect Carl Sattler, the structure exemplifies Reform Architecture. The castle features a hipped roof, tower, and porch, and serves as both a hotel and concert hall. Today it stands as an architectural heritage monument and national monument within the Alpine landscape.
