Scotty's Castle, also called Death Valley Ranch, is a two-story Mission Revival and Spanish Colonial Revival villa in the Grapevine Mountains of northern Death Valley, within Death Valley National Park in Inyo County, California. Despite its name, it is not an actual castle, and the gold prospector Walter E. Scott, for whom it is named, never owned it. Flooding in October 2015 and a 2021 fire that destroyed the garage and workshop used as the visitor center have kept it closed to the public.
