The Security Building stands at 117 Northeast 1st Avenue in Miami as a sixteen-story testament to the city's early twentieth-century growth. Built between 1926 and 1927, this 225-foot structure exemplifies the merger of Second Empire architectural traditions with the Chicago School's steel-frame innovations. Originally designed to serve banking functions, the building was recognized for its historical significance and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.
