The Serpentine Galleries are two contemporary art museums located in Kensington Gardens, Westminster, within five minutes' walk of each other and linked by a bridge over Serpentine Lake. Originally comprising the Serpentine Gallery (now Serpentine South) and the Sackler Gallery (now Serpentine North), the organisation has been rebranded as a unified entity. Designed by James Grey West and Zaha Hadid, the galleries were established in 1970 and hold Grade II* listed status. The institutions attract approximately 1.2 million visitors annually through their exhibitions, architecture, education, and public programmes, with free admission to both venues.
