The Shinmeiyama Kofun is a Kofun period burial mound located in Kyōtango, Kyoto, in Japan's Kansai region. Built in the characteristic zenpō-kōen-fun (keyhole) form—with a rectangular front section and circular rear mound—it stands in the Tangochomiya neighborhood as a testament to Japan's ancient funerary practices. Designated a National Historic Site of Japan in 1923, the monument preserves the architectural and cultural heritage of the Kofun era.
